Chateau Montelena is one of the most beautiful and storied wineries in Napa Valley, California.
Owned by the Barrett Family and one of the winners of the fabled 1976 Judgement of Paris, it has also been the subject of a major motion picture, Bottle Shock. UNLO had the opportunity to help them celebrate and leverage their 40th Anniversary of the Judgement of Paris through an intensive year-long print and digital campaign.

Our team worked closely with the Chateau Montelena VP of Sales and Marketing, Brian Baker, to create great work that got noticed. We honored the Chateau Montelena Chardonnay and the Judgement of Paris with a typography-driven concept ad. Their amazing estate cabernet was featured with Bo Barrett’s hands and the effluvial dirt that makes Chateau Montelena such special terroir.
One of the key winery DTC communication points in 2017 was to highlight all the green initiatives Chateau Montelena was invested in. We created a digital promotion and DTC white paper for consumers who frequently asked how they were making their winemaking practice greener.
